WWM SCOUT MERIT BADGE PROGRAM
We are getting involved with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts with the WWM Merit Badge Program. There are 15 different merit badges that can be acquired through the help from the museum and all it has to offer for the youth. Scouts can also learn and volunteer with the reclamation and fish management projects that are now being undertaken by the museum
Attention Troop and Group Leaders!
WWM is now offering day and overnight programs such as: various outdoor field sports, first aid and merit badge programs. Make arrangements to custom fit your troop or group needs.

Certification courses offered in conjunction with the American Heart Association, The National Rifle Association & The Wilderness Wildlife Museum:
Course #1: Wilderness First Aid
This course is offered to layman of all ages.
Topics to be covered will include:
• Outdoor First Aid - Adult/Child
• Wilderness Emergency Situations
• Includes Book
Course Length 2 hours Cost $25
Course #2: Introduction to Big Game
Hunting & Fishing
This course is offered to laymen of all ages.
Topics to be covered will include:
• How to locate reputable outfitters
• How to prepare for outdoor adventures
• Physical preparation
• Equipment requirements
• Youth mentoring programs available
Course Length 4 hours Cost $35
Course #3: Wilderness CPR and First Aid
This course is offered to lay people with a duty to
respond. Topics to be covered will include:
• Adult First Aid
• Environmental Emergencies
• Adult/Child CPR w/mask
• Adult/Child AED
• Infant CPR w/mask
Course Length 6.5 hours Cost $70
All above courses require student to supply own
paper and writing implement for note taking.

Course #1: Pistol Introduction and Safety
This course is offered to layman of 18 years of age
and older. The course will include a small amount
of outdoor live fire time.
Course Length 4 hours Cost $60
Course #2: Pistol Expert
This course requires successful completion of Pistol
Introduction and Safe Handling Course #1. Students
must be 18 years of age and older. The course
will include range time. Student provides own firearm
and ammunition.
Course Length 6 hours Cost $90
Course #3: Rifle Introduction and Safety
This course is offered to layman of 11 years of age
and older. The course will include 2 hours of range
time with instruction.
Course Length 6 hours Cost $90
Course #4: Shotgun Introduction and Safety
This course is offered to layman of 11 years of age
and older. Course includes instruction on all types
of shotguns. This course will include 2 hours of range
time with instruction.
Course Length 6 hours Cost $90
Course #5: Shotgun Expert
This course requires successful completion of course
#4 Shotgun Introduction and Safety and students
must be 11 years of age and older. This course will
include trip to Buffer Creek Sporting Clays. Student
provides own firearm and ammunition.
